In the light of the Investment Firms Regulation (IFR) and the Investment Firms Directive (IFD), investment firms need to comply with the requirements in this new prudential regime from June 2021. For the UK, investment firms need to comply with similar requirements imposed by the FCA. This prudential framework goes into effect in January 2022. This shift in reporting comes with real challenges in reporting requirements, risk calculations and IT infrastructure.
